Fantawild is in the spotlight

The IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) “Brass Ring Awards” ceremony was held on November 18th, 2015 in Orange County, Orlando, United States. Wuhu Fantawild Resort, China, took home the “Digital Marketing Campaign” award in the category of Marketing Excellence, while the performance "The Legend of Lady Meng Jiang” at Jinan Fantawild Oriental Heritage won “The Heartbeat Award” in the category of Live Entertainment Excellence. Daisy Shang, Vice President of Fantawild Holdings Inc. and General Manager of Fantawild International Limited, attended the ceremony and received the awards.

IAAPA is the largest association in the international amusement and entertainment industry. It started the IAAPA Attractions Expo in 1918, which has now become an influential trade fair in the global entertainment industry with the “Brass Ring Awards” being the most authoritative in the field of amusement and theme park attractions.

The “Brass Ring Awards” are given out to all projects and companies related to amusement parks and attractions. In the final run for the “Digital Marketing Campaign” award in the category of Marketing Excellence, Wuhu Fantawild Resort competed fiercely with San Diego Zoo Safari Park in the US and Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia, and finally got the award.

Things didn’t go all that smoothly, though. The Legend of Lady Meng Jiang, a performance at Jinan Fantawild Oriental Heritage park, was originally nominated for awards in the “Live Entertainment Excellence” category, but it didn’t show on the winner’s list. However, when all the performance awards were being given out, clips of The Legend of Lady Meng Jiang were played on the screen. The host praised it as being amazing. The performance is based on a Chinese folktale, Tears of Lady Meng Jiang Toppled the Great Wall. The judges at the ceremony were touched by the wonderful performance, fabulous stage effects, and the story. Finally the host announced that The Legend of Lady Meng Jiang won “The Heartbeat Award”. This award was added especially, and the winner was selected by the organizer of the ceremony and the judges from all the works nominated for awards in the ceremony. Fantawild is the only company from the Chinese mainland to win awards at the “Brass Ring” Award Ceremony in 2015.
